We are happy to announce that we now offer Audit Shield!
As part of our ever-growing list of new services, we have taken steps to provide YOU with the opportunity to save on your professional fees.
Through participating in our Audit Shield Fee Waiver Service, you will not be required to pay associated professional fees – including legal and other specialist advisor fees – in the event that you are subject to an audit, enquiry, investigation, or review by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), or provincial revenue agencies.
With Audit Shield, claims relating to the following are covered:
- Corporate Tax Filings
- Personal Tax Filings
- GST/HST Filings
- Employer Compliance Audits
- Business Audits
- Payroll Audits
- Plus, much more
Additionally, once you choose to participate in our Audit Shield Service, your previous filings are covered too! The audit must be instigated during the period of cover, but can include responding to audits or investigations of filings we did not file or prepare.
For example, thirteen of our clients paid an individual fee of $345.00 for corporate insurance. Combined, their insurance fees covered a total of $10,007.00 in audit fees. Alternatively, one of our clients chose to opt out. The client is now facing a corporate post-assessing review from 2015 and 2016 and has consequently been charged with a bill of $4,200.00. I think it is safe to say that the client will be choosing to opt in going forward.

- We hold an insurance policy (Audit Shield) that covers the professional fees incurred as a result of audit activity. The terms of the Audit Shield Fee Waiver Service are a mirror of the terms and conditions of the insurance policy that we hold
